Some Anglicans are having a Women Bishops Conference today. Not so slowly, that religious denomination is moving away from Tradition and Scripture, which we call Revelation.
Sadly, this will split the Anglican Church. I hope some Anglicans consider the Ordinariate. Please pray for this day and these brothers and sister is Christ, who are not following Christ.

It is sad. It's also worth pointing out (I thought of this after reading your post on Jewish views of purgatory) that the Jewish priesthood was also male-only. Jesus went to temples with only male priests. He doesn't seem to have had a problem with it. Therefore, female ordination would overturn not only all of Christian tradition, but the older Jewish tradition as well.
Women can contribute to the Church, just not as priests. Likewise, giving birth is something that men can't do. You can see this in nature, too. Most (all?) mammals exhibit sexual differentiation. Lower species like plants and bacteria don't. Sexual differentiation is a sophisticated evolutionary adaptation, as well as a gift from God. It makes sense that it should be reflected in the structure of the Church.
Very cool comment, thanks
